Data Protection Policy

Last updated: August 2026

What data we collect

  • Account data: Your email address, display name, and password hash (argon2id). We never store passwords in plain text.
  • Site content: Everything you create — profile, links, posts, projects, testimonials, pages, diary entries.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated, anonymized page views and link clicks. No cookies, no personal identifiers.
  • Subscriber data: Email addresses of people who subscribe to your newsletter (with their consent).

What we don't collect

  • No tracking cookies
  • No third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.)
  • No cross-site tracking
  • No personally identifiable information from your visitors
  • No selling or sharing of your data with third parties

How we store your data

Your data is stored in a database (Lightbase BaaS or SQLite, depending on deployment). Passwords are hashed using argon2id — the current industry standard. Session tokens are hashed and stored server-side. All data is stored in encrypted-at-rest infrastructure.

Your rights

  • Access: You can view all your data at any time in the dashboard.
  • Export: You can export all your data in JSON or CSV format from Settings → Data Export.
  • Delete: You can delete your account and all associated data permanently from Settings.
  • Modify: You can edit or delete any content you've created at any time.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data — including content, analytics, and subscribers — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized, so it cannot be traced back to individual visitors.
